Weekend 1 - Day 2

We have our first weekend of demo under our belts...
1. baseboards and trim off
2. all electrical plates off and ready for new outlets and switches
3. carpet out of some of the bedrooms
4. some wood panelling is off and a new dilemma of taking off the wallpaper...let's see what youtube has to say?
5. lovin' the progress and brainstorming about all the potential!

Weekend 1 - Day 1

We are a little behind on sharing pictures but as they say 'good things come to those who wait'? So is no particular order here are some of the before pictures (can I get a oooo and aaaah?)

The appliances still work! Yay! Love the 60's double oven!

Can't wait to get some paint on those cabinets!

Front door entry has some great slate. Keeping that!

Dusk view out into the back yard....no this is not our bedroom but it'll do! Living the college life of mattresses on the floor, nothing but beer in the fridge and camping chairs in the dining room!

Master bedroom.

Taking up carpet and paint samples on the wall...good progress for the first day!

Master bath...who ever thought it was a good idea to put carpet in a bathroom? Gloves, mask, demo!

Welcome to the upstairs...we'll call it the floor of color!!!...just you wait....

Somehow this room (our future office) missed out on the color memo...

Color!!! We will forever call this the plaid room!

Why clean a brush when you can wipe it on the back of you door?

Bedroom #3

Basement (aka game room!)

One of the first things to go was the wood panelling and we found one of the first surprises of the remodel...60's wallpaper! We've saved a piece to frame it...it's that good!

Laundry room and half bath (carpet in the bathroom again! Yikes!)

It got dark too quickly for outdoor photos so those will come soon....really one of the best parts of our new home is the trees so stay tuned!
